- Yes. Each academic partner is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and either a member of the North Central Association (NCA), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) or the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). This ensures your work is transferrable and will be accepted by other universities/colleges as well as highly respected by your future employers.

Applying for a Degree Program

- You start at the “Home” page of the military portal.
- Select the flag that best represents your present position.
- As you look at the landing page, select the level of degree that you are interested.
- Then select your academic interest area.
- Select a program of study and university or college from our prestigious regionally accredited academic partners.
- If you need additional information, select the “Request Info” button.
- If you are ready to apply, select the “Apply Now” button.
- Complete the application process of your university or college of choice.
- Select the “Required Documentation” in the navigation bar at the top of the page, determine the credentials that you need to request be sent to your chosen academic institution.
- Select the “Financial Options” in the navigation bar at the top of the page and determine which option or options are appropriate for you. Complete the necessary forms to determine eligibility and amount of money.

- All official military transcripts as well as university/college transcripts must be requested from the military points of contact as well as other universities/colleges where you have taken courses. The transcripts following your request will be officially submitted to the university/college you have submitted your application.
- In some degree programs, you may need to submit specific test scores, e.g. a GRE score. Please select you institutions website that can be found at the top of each web page under “Institutions.”

- Each university will evaluate your transcripts and determine the number of credits that can apply toward your degree plan.

- Application for admission can be done at any time. Classes start at various times during the year. Check the academic offerings to determine when courses are scheduled and the start dates. Start dates vary by institution. You can find this information:

- In consultation with a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs representative, your active duty military education office, or the veteran’s office of the university of choice begin the process of selecting and maximizing the best choice for you and your family.
- This process will take some time and thought.

- Yes. Active Duty Service members are eligible to use their full entitlements per fiscal year on tuition expenses. Contact your education officer for assistance in this process.

- All Courses and Programs, Start dates, and Cost are listed on the University’s Website. Upon acceptance into the university and approval of your benefits, you will be notified of procedures for registering for a course(s).

- All of the programs and courses offered by the universities/colleges are online for your convenience.

- No. The online programs and courses offered by our academic partners are asynchronous, meaning the student will have day and night seven days a week. You do have to be online to submit assignments and to take tests.

- Absolutely. The benefit to online education is you always have access to your courses/program if you have a connection to the internet. If you are deployed and/or your assignment impacts your ability to continue your work your university point of contact should be emailed (faculty and/or assigned university contact) to ensure your transition does not interfere with your long term education goals.

- Students will apply for graduation through the University they are enrolled at the time the university recommends you complete this process. You will be notified by the university.

- Internet Access: An Internet connection is necessary to participate in discussions and assignments, access readings, transfer course work, and receive feedback from your academic coach and professor.
